The handicapped is now making rounds of the electricity department offices and saying that Sir, till date I have not even taken an electricity connection, nor has a single bulb been lit in my house, but no one is listening to his argument.

After a fight with JE, the electricity department sent a bill of 82 thousand 

The second case is of Jibhiyan village of Lalganj police station, where the electricity department handed over a bill of 82 thousand to a person named Shoaib, after which the consumer was shocked. Three months ago, the consumer's meter got damaged. At that time, 591 rupees were outstanding. Even after repeated applications for changing the meter, the meter was not changed, due to which he had an argument with the JE and after that his electricity bill which was 591 rupees outstanding three months ago increased to 82 thousand. The victim has lodged a complaint in the Superintending Engineer's office, Superintending Engineer Manoj Sonkar has ordered an inquiry on both the cases.

Meter reading will be done after the case is registered 

On this whole matter, Superintending Engineer Manoj Sonkar said that complaints have been received in both the cases. The reason for which such high electricity bill has come is being investigated. The bill will be paid according to the reading in the meter.

On the question of sending electricity bill of Rs 1.80 lakh to a handicapped person's house without any connection, he said that the matter has been ordered to be investigated. It is possible that he may have applied for electricity connection under some scheme. If there is no electricity connection at his house, then his problem will be solved.
