Baghpat News: A leopard attacked a farmer who was irrigating his fields in the forest of Nirpuda village in Baghpat. The farmer somehow saved his life from the leopard. On the information of the villagers, the forest department employees searched for the leopard, but the leopard was not found. There is an atmosphere of fear among the farmers. The farmers have demanded the administrative officials to catch the leopard by setting up a cage. The farmers said that a few months ago the carcass of a leopard was found and there may be more leopards here.

 

Farmer Brajveer, a resident of Nirpuda village, says that he had gone to irrigate the field. Suddenly a leopard came out of a sugarcane field and pounced on him. He somehow saved his life. The leopard went back into the sugarcane field. The farmer saved his life by running towards the road making noise. Hearing the noise, other farmers also came there. The villagers informed Dial 112 Police and Forest Department about this. As soon as the information was received, Nathulal reached there with Sub Inspector, Police team and Forest Guard Sanjeev Kumar.

 

People who could not go into the forest


along with forest officials, combed the forest, but the leopard was not seen and neither was any mark seen on the farmer's body. Farmers said that a month ago, a dead leopard cub was found in the same forest. This means that the leopard is roaming in the forest. Forest Inspector Sanjeev Kumar said that farmers have been told not to take small children into the forest and not to go without torchlight at night and to carry sticks with them. He also said that the leopard's paw marks are being examined. The leopard has not been found even after a lot of searching. People have been advised to go into the forest with caution.
