According to religious texts, Lord Shri Ram met Lord Hanuman on Tuesday of Jyeshtha month. For this reason, all Tuesdays of Jyeshtha month are celebrated as Bada Mangal. The history of Bada Mangal is associated with the Nawab of Uttar Pradesh. Let's know how Bada Mangal started?

This is how Bada Mangal started

According to the scriptures, Bada Mangal is mentioned in Ramayana and Mahabharata, but its history is from the ancient Hanuman temple located in Aliganj of Lucknow district of Uttar Pradesh . It is said that 400 years ago, the health of the son of Nawab Mohammad Ali Shah of Awadh deteriorated, due to which his Begum became very sad.

Even after a lot of treatment, there was no improvement in the health of the son, so some people asked Nawab Mohammad Wajid Ali Shah's Begum to pray at the ancient Hanuman temple in Aliganj on Tuesday of the month of Jyeshtha. The Begum did exactly that and with the blessings of Hanuman ji, the son's health improved.

Mohammad Ali Shah was very happy to see his son's health and he got the Hanuman temple repaired. The repair work of the temple was completed in the month of Jyeshtha. After this, he offered jaggery and coriander to Bajrangbali and distributed prasad among the people. Since then, the festival of Bada Mangal is celebrated every year. On this special occasion, devotees come to the ancient Hanuman temple to worship and have darshan of Bajrangbali.
