This month is considered very special from the religious point of view, because in this month there is an auspicious opportunity to get the blessings of the gods and goddesses along with the ancestors. What to do in the month of Ashwin?

  • In the month of Ashwin, one must definitely perform the Shradh and Tarpan of ancestors. It is believed that by doing this, the person receives the blessings of the ancestors.  
  • Apart from this, worship Goddess Durga in the Sharadiya Navratri in a proper manner.
  • Recite Durga Saptashati daily.
  • Keep fast during Sharadiya Navratri.
  • Bathing, charity and good deeds have more importance.
  • Donate food, clothes and money to poor people.  

 

Do not do these things in the month of Ashwin

  • One should avoid eating fried, spicy foods.  
  • Apart from this, stay away from non-vegetarian food, non-vegetarian food, brinjal, onion and garlic.  
  • Do not keep wrong thoughts in your mind about anyone.  
  • Do not insult elders and women.  
  • Do not keep the house dirty, because gods and goddesses reside in clean places.

Do these remedies in the month of Ashwin

  • If you are facing Pitra Dosh, then worship your ancestors in Pitra Paksha . Also, serve and respect your parents. It is believed that by doing this remedy, one gets relief from Pitra Dosh.
  •  Apart from this, to get rid of Pitra Dosh, worship Lord Shiva in a proper manner during Pitra Paksha. It is believed that doing so removes Pitra Dosh and creates the possibility of early marriage.
