In fact, on the late night of 25/26 October 2024, two suspicious messages and bomb threats were received at IGI Airport through social media accounts. The police registered a case and started investigation. All protocols were followed but the bomb threat turned out to be a hoax.
How did Delhi Police nab the accused in the bomb threat case?
During the investigation, the police found out that these messages were sent by a person named Shubham Upadhyay living in Uttam Nagar, Delhi. With the help of manual intelligence and technical intelligence, the police caught the accused Shubham. During interrogation, Shubham has confessed his crime.
He told the police that after watching similar news on TV, he had threatened to bomb the airport through social media to get attention. At present, the matter is under investigation.
