 India starts officially its 1.5 trillion rupee transport infrastructure upgrade project that aims to modernize the country’s road and railway networks. The project will enhance highway quality, connectivity between the major cities and railway system to accommodate the faster and more efficient trains. The plan also involves new airports, new ports and new multimodal hubs to form a coherent transport system that will be in the benefit of commerce and the traveling public. The move is also expected to help bolster India’s economy with better logistics, shorter travel times and more jobs in different sectors.
