Prayagraj News Today: Prayagraj-based Indian Institute of Information Technology (IIIT) has achieved another big milestone. This IIIT, one of the renowned IT institutes of the country, has been selected by the Department of Telecommunications of the Government of India to do research on 6G technology.
The team of experts of the institute will research on the utility, quality, technology and other points of 6G. The institute has received about one and a half crore rupees under the Telecom Technology Development Fund Scheme (TTDF) to do research on this. Triple IT Allahabad will have to do research on the upgradation of 5G technology along with 6G.
According to the director of the research
institute, Dr Mukul Sharad Sutavane, Allahabad's Triple IT will research on different aspects of 5G and 6G services. The institute's experts mainly have to find out how this service can be improved in terms of technology and how people can be given maximum benefit from it.
Apart from this, research will also be done on how 6G service can prove to be better than 5G. The institute has earlier also worked on many projects of the Department of Telecommunications.
The topic given to Allahabad Triple IT for research on 6G services is design and analysis of a meaningful learning based architecture for end to end communications.
This 6G project is to be completed in collaboration with the Department of Telecommunications (DOT) and Telecommunications Centre of Excellence (TCOE). Research on this project at the institute will be conducted under the supervision of Professor Nitesh Purohit and Dr. Sunil Yadav.
'Research is going on on many subjects'
The institute's director Professor Mukul Sharad said that Allahabad Triple IT will conduct research on 5G and 6G services. Along with this, it is also working in the field of wireless communication, IoT, cyber security, AI technology and signal processing.
Professor Mukul Sharad said that the new research will help in further improving mobile user privacy, reducing radiation, increasing awareness about government efforts and preventing mobile fraud.
According to the institute's director Professor Mukul Sharad, his institute is also working on the communication friend system. The institute's representatives are also working in collaboration with the World Telecommunication Standardization Assembly and the Indian Mobile Congress.
