Muzaffarnagar News: Security of former BJP MP and Union Minister Sanjeev Baliyan from Muzaffarnagar Lok Sabha seat has been withdrawn. Announcing this, Uttar Pradesh Police issued a press note on Friday (17 January). Under this, Sanjeev Baliyan will now get 'Y category' security from the Center.

In a press note issued by UP Police, it has been said that a letter has been received from the Security Department Lucknow, in this letter it has been informed that former Union Minister of State Sanjeev Balyan has been provided 'Y category' security as per the list received from the Union Home Ministry. After receiving 'Y category' security from the Government of India, a total of 8 security personnel including 1-4 armed guards for residential security and 3 PSOs will be deployed for the security of Sanjeev Balyan.

Baliyan's allegations on the police
It is worth noting that earlier Sanjeev Baliyan's security was withdrawn. After which Baliyan had accused the Muzaffarnagar police of withdrawing the security. Now it is being claimed that the Muzaffarnagar police, which allegedly withdrew the security, had to issue a press note with a heavy heart to inform about this. 

According to sources, the UP government was forced to bow down under the pressure of the central government. The reason for this is that the issue of Jats' resentment in the Delhi assembly elections was gaining momentum day by day. Earlier, Sanjeev Baliyan had raised the issue of alleged illegal occupation of temple land and made serious allegations of corruption against the Muzaffarnagar police.

Will Jat Mahapanchayat be held on 19th?
Amidst all this, a Jat Mahapanchayat was called on 19th January in support of Sanjeev Baliyan, who is still in office. Jat leaders had also complained to the Centre regarding this. The interesting thing is that during the Lok Sabha elections , despite the implementation of the code of conduct and section 144, Kshatriya Panchayats were allowed to take place, but this time seeing the rebellious attitude, the pressure on the government had increased.
