Popular actor Jaideep Ahlawat was seen in a strong role in the 2018 film Raazi. The actor played the role of RAW agent Manav Chaudhary in this film. He also gained a lot of popularity after this film. Alia Bhatt, Vicky Kaushal, Rajit Kapoor and Shishir Sharma were seen in the lead roles in the film.

Now in an interview, the actor revealed that despite his performance in Raazi receiving so much praise, he did not get work opportunities immediately after the success of the film.

Why were you not getting roles after Raazi

Speaking in a roundtable with The Hollywood Reporter India, Jaideep said, “There comes a time when you need to do something and you get a good role. People like it but you still don't have work. I kept wondering what did I do wrong. Everyone is praising it. Everyone is talking about this role.”

People start typecasting you - Jaideep

He further said that after Raazi, he was being offered the same kind of roles and people started typecasting him as an IB (Intelligence Bureau) or RAW (Research and Analysis Wing) officer. However, Jaideep did not want to do such roles.

Will be seen in Paatal Lok 2

After this, Jaideep appeared in a similar role in Paatal Lok. In this series, he appeared in the role of a police officer. Then he started getting similar cop roles. He used to get offers in which it was said that your role is a mixture of Mirzapur and Paatal Lok. But Jaideep Ahlawat refused to do it. Currently, Jaideep is in the news regarding the release of Paatal Lok 2.
