An earthquake of magnitude 3.8 hit Manipur's Noni district on Saturday. Officials said there has been no report of any loss of life or property so far. According to the National Center for Seismology (NCS), the earthquake occurred at 2:31 pm. Its epicenter was in Manipur's Noni district. The depth of the earthquake was measured at 10 kilometers.

Northeast India falls in an earthquake-prone zone and earthquakes are often felt here. Experts say that geological movements remain more active in this region, due to which earthquakes keep occurring from time to time.
