Halia (Mirzapur). Some children who went to bathe in the Susuad river in Mirzapur district of Uttar Pradesh caught a two feet long crocodile mistaking it for a fish and brought it home. Seeing this, the villagers and relatives got frightened. Within a few moments, the forest department team reached and took the crocodile into their custody. After this, it was taken to the deep reservoir of Dadri dam and left there, only then people heaved a sigh of relief.

 

Some children of eight to ten years of age from Basuhara village went to bathe in the Susuad river in the morning. They brought home a two feet long baby crocodile mistaking it to be a fish. The family members were shocked to see it and scolded the children and informed the village head Ram Asare.

The Pradhan kept the crocodile in a trough filled with water and informed the Forest Officer Avadh Narayan Mishra about it. Ranger Avadh Narayan Mishra, forest guard Arvind Kumar, Neetu Sharma and Shitala Baksh Singh who reached the spot took the crocodile in their custody. Forest Officer Ranger Haliya said that the forest department team has safely caught the crocodile and left it in Meja Dadri dam.
