Uttarakhand News Today: Uttarakhand's tableau has also been selected this time for the Republic Day Parade 2025. This tableau will be based on "Adventure Sports" and will showcase the natural beauty and exciting sports of Uttarakhand on the duty path of New Delhi.
Giving information, Director General of Information Banshidhar Tiwari said that in October 2024, 34 states and union territories across the country had sent proposals for their tableaux to the expert committee constituted by the Ministry of Defense. On behalf of Uttarakhand, Nodal Officer and Joint Director Information K.S. Chauhan presented the design, model and music of the tableau. The committee found every aspect of Uttarakhand's tableau excellent and made its final selection.
Tableaus from 14 states will be included.
The Government of India issued a letter on 21 December 2024 confirming the selection of the tableau. This year tableaus from 14 other states and union territories along with Uttarakhand will be included in the parade. These include Andhra Pradesh, Bihar, Goa, Gujarat, Haryana, Jharkhand, Karnataka, Madhya Pradesh, Punjab, Tripura, Uttar Pradesh, West Bengal, Chandigarh and Dadra-Nagar Haveli and Daman-Diu.
Uttarakhand's tableau theme
Uttarakhand's tableau is based on the theme of adventure sports. The front of the tableau will display the traditional "Aipan art" of the state, in which a woman in the traditional attire of Uttarakhand will be seen creating this art.
Various adventure sports of Uttarakhand will be showcased in the middle and rear part of the tableau. These include rock climbing, paragliding, bungee jumping, hill cycling, trekking, river rafting, skiing in Auli, zip-lining in Rishikesh and other activities. Through these sports, Uttarakhand will be presented as a major center of adventure tourism.
Expressing happiness on this occasion, Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami said, "The selection of Uttarakhand's tableau for the Republic Day parade is a matter of pride for our state. This tableau will bring our natural beauty, traditional art and adventure sports to the country and the world. Our state is becoming a leader not only for spiritual and natural tourism but also in the field of adventure sports."
