
A shocking incident has come to light in Sri Sathya Sai district of Andhra Pradesh. About 900 car engines have been stolen from the Penukonda plant of South Korean company Kia Motors located here. An official gave information about this incident on Tuesday. On the complaint of the company, the police have started investigating this case of theft. Police officials said that this theft was going on for the last five years. The company filed a complaint with the police on March 19. Theft started in 2020
Giving information about this case, Penukonda Sub-Divisional Police Officer Y Venkateshwarlu said, "This theft started in the year 2020 and has been going on continuously since then. We will investigate it thoroughly." According to Venkateshwarlu, preliminary investigation has confirmed the theft of 900 engines. He said that these engines were stolen either from inside the plant or on the way to reach there. The police suspect that this theft has happened with the connivance of the employees of the company itself, due to which the investigation has been focused on the former and current employees of the company.

Police officer Venkateshwarlu said, "It is not about outsiders, all this has happened from inside. Even a small part cannot go out without the permission of the company. We are finding out who all are involved in this." Venkateshwarlu said that some flaws have been confirmed in the primary investigation and at present the investigation is focused on the old employees of the company, although the involvement of some current employees has also come to light. In this connection, the police have formed a special team and have also collected many documents and records. However, an immediate response could not be obtained from the company officials.
