Delhi Crime News: Cyber ​​Cell of Delhi Police Crime Branch has arrested a notorious and vicious criminal Sumit Inku (age 20 years), resident of Timarpur, Delhi. The accused was absconding in a case of attempted murder. In this incident, the accused along with his two accomplices brutally beat up a person in Santnagar area and seriously injured him by stabbing him. The accused has also been found involved in three serious criminal cases in Timarpur in the past.

According to 
Delhi Police, on the intervening night of February 21-22, 2025, a PCR call was received at Burari Police Station informing that a person named Prince was brutally attacked and stabbed with a sharp weapon by three suspects in a flat located at Apex Road, Sant Nagar. 

The attackers had the intention to kill him. Based on this information, a case was registered at Burari police station under Section 109(1) BNS of the Indian Penal Code and investigation was started. During the investigation, the accused were identified as Sumit @ Inku, Gaurav and Harsh, who were absconding since the incident.

Delhi Police made the arrest.
As part of the special campaign being run by Delhi Police to nab criminals, the police received information that the main accused Sumit alias Inku, wanted in an attempt to murder case, was going to come to Burari Authority to seek financial help from one of his associates. The team cordoned off the likely place of arrival of the accused. 

The accused Sumit alias Inku tried to run away as soon as he sensed the presence of the police, but he was caught on the spot by the police team. During interrogation, he admitted his direct involvement in the incident, on the basis of which he was arrested under several sections.

According to Delhi Police, Sumit alias Inku, who has studied only till high school, initially worked as a waiter. Later he came in contact with criminal elements and became a drug addict. To fulfill his drug addiction, he was involved in two criminal incidents in the year 2022. In the year 2023, he started looting.
