News Topical, Digital Desk : Yami Gautam, a budding actress from Himachal Pradesh, has carved a niche for herself in Bollywood. She began her career with TV serials and is now known for her stellar performances in Hindi films. However, the actress's early days in the industry weren't particularly rosy. She faced considerable struggles.

Yami Gautam, who appeared in the film Haq , opened up about her struggling days in a recent interview. She revealed that she faced significant bias in the industry. She also shared an anecdote from the film Kaabil, revealing that she was the only one auditioned for the film.

Yami Gautam's initial phase was difficult

Speaking to Humans of Bombay, Yami Gautam said, "Things were very difficult at that time. There were times when I would think, 'I don't think this will work,' or 'Should I go back or wait a little longer?' You start wondering, 'Is this it?'" The actress revealed that she felt that way many times.

Yami Gautam further said, "It happened many times. It wasn't just for a moment. Even after being in many films. Even after being in films, even after Vicky Donor, there were many moments when I questioned a lot of things. I realised that every film teaches something new and you are never good enough to get 'that' film of your life."

Yami had auditioned for Kaabil

Yami Gautam said that sometimes you don't get a film that suits your talent. She further shared an anecdote from Kaabil, saying, "I gave a screen test for 'Kaabil,' and I was very happy to do it. I'm not saying it was for Kaabil, but when you're asked to give a screen test and the other actress opposite you isn't, you wonder why the difference?"
