Washington: Presidential elections are to be held in the US in November this year. After the current President Joe Biden's exit from the presidential race, Kamala Harris and Donald Trump are now face to face. A tough competition is being witnessed between Kamala Harris and Donald Trump.

Kamala Harris, who has joined the presidential election race, seems to be getting a lot of support from the people on a large scale. Meanwhile, Donald Trump on Thursday proposed a debate against Kamala Harris on September 3.

Harris has ignited the Democratic ticket over the past 18 days, raising record money and eroding the Republican former president's polling lead, opening a wide path to victory that her party had not expected even a month ago.

Trump offers Harris a TV debate

Meanwhile, Trump, who addressed reporters at his beachside home in Florida, told reporters, "I hope she agrees."

He then said he has made a proposal to television networks for debates on September 4, 10 and 25.

Trump again attacked his rival and repeatedly questioned the intelligence of the former state attorney general and US senator.

There will be a peaceful transfer of power after the vote: Trump

Trump has made false claims about a wide range of topics related to the election and his record in office, from the price of gasoline to the size of his crowds, the deaths of American troops in Afghanistan and the 2021 insurrection at the US Capitol by his supporters.

He assured reporters that there would be a peaceful transfer of power after the November 5 vote, but he questioned whether the presidential election would be fair? During this, he claimed that the previous transfer was peaceful despite the deadly riot at the Capitol.

Trump also rejected the suggestion that he would need to realign his campaign with his new opponent in mind after Harris replaces President Joe Biden on July 21.

He further said, these are the same policies, open borders, which are weak on crime. I think he is even worse than Biden.

The rival campaigns clashed over Trump's withdrawal from a previously scheduled ABC presidential debate on September 10. The network said on Thursday that the two candidates have now agreed to face off.

Trump-friendly Fox News will host the first of the three debates while NBC will take the final slot. There was no immediate word on those dates from Kamala Harris.
