Shows made under the banner of Applause Entertainment like 'Scam 1992: The Harshad Mehta Story' and 'Black Warrant' have gained immense popularity. These series were based on books. In such a situation, the question is whether stories adapted from books are more spicy or are they easier to make?
In response to this, Applause Entertainment's Managing Director (MD) Sameer Nair says that if there is a book, it contains readymade matter. A starting point is found, after which the process of its conversion begins.
Do book stories attract the audience?
Sameer Nair further says that the second thing is that often these stories are based on true events, people also like to watch such stories. Like the web series 'Black Warrant' is the story of Tihar Jail.
People know about Tihar Jail, people have heard about Charles Sobhraj and his times. All the things are real and have been narrated well.
Talking about the 'Black Warrant' series, he says, "Black Warrant 2 will definitely be made, I think its third and fourth seasons will also have to be made, because its story is so long.
Let us tell you that Applause Entertainment has also launched a new animation channel Aplatoon on YouTube. Kiya and Kayan animated series is also going to start on it from 25th April.
