
News Topical, Digital Desk : Anil Aggarwal-led Vedanta Limited has contributed more than Rs 4.5 lakh crore to the central government in the last ten years. The company has given this information in its annual Tax Transparency Report (TTR). With this information, the company has said that it has shown its commitment towards transparency and responsible tax rules. Vedanta said that in the decade from financial year 2015-16 to financial year 2024-25, it has paid a total of Rs 4,48,830 crore to the government as tax under domestic and international operations. In the financial year 2024-25 alone, the company contributed Rs 55,349 crore. The Indian stock market witnessed a downward trend on 19 June 2025. The share price was Rs 456.50 as soon as the market opened, but due to selling pressure throughout the day, it fell to Rs 439.85, which is Rs 16.65 (3.65%) less than the previous closing price. During the trading session, the stock touched a high of Rs 457.35 and a low of Rs 436.80. The market capitalization stood at Rs 1.64 thousand crore, while the P/E ratio was 10.85 and dividend yield was recorded at 9.89%. Investors remained cautious amid signs of weakness for the second consecutive session.
