New Delhi: In the meeting of the National Executive of the Bahujan Samaj Party, Mayawati has been elected as the National President once again. She was once again unanimously elected as the National President of the BSP for five years. The National General Secretary of the party Satish Chandra Mishra had proposed to make Mayawati the National President.
Mayawati has been continuously elected as the national president of the party since September 18, 2003. On Monday, she denied the news of her retirement and made it clear that she will continue as the national president. In such a situation, it was certain that she would be elected as the president once again in the executive meeting on Tuesday.
National Executive meeting held in Lucknow
On Tuesday, a meeting of the National Executive was called at the BSP office in Lucknow. In this, preparations for the assembly elections to be held in Jammu-Kashmir, Haryana and Maharashtra were discussed as well as the strategy for the by-elections to be held on 10 seats in the state.
The BSP supremo was keeping distance from the by-elections for a long time but she is seen in action regarding the by-elections to be held on 10 assembly seats of Uttar Pradesh. BSP has announced to contest on all 10 seats. In which Pradhan Shah, a close leader of Chandrashekhar Azad from Meerapur and Ram Gopal Kori from Milkipur assembly seat have been declared BSP candidates.
