"The Doors of Jail and Hell Are Open for Security Threats": CM Yogi Adityanath Issues Strong Warning in Gorakhpur

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath delivered an uncompromising message regarding state security during a major development rally in Gorakhpur, stating unequivocally that anyone attempting to jeopardize public safety will face the strict consequences of jail and hell. Highlighting the state's transformation into a mafia-free region, CM Yogi asserted that individuals who dare to disrupt law and order will be crushed, while the double-engine government continues to foster an environment of peace, development, and safety.

Inauguration of Development Projects and the Basharatpur Kalyan Mandapam

Visiting Gorakhpur to inaugurate and lay the foundation stone for 170 development projects worth ₹130.73 crore—undertaken by the Gorakhpur Development Authority (GDA) and Municipal Corporation—CM Yogi formally opened the newly constructed Kalyan Mandapam in Basharatpur (Ward No. 80, Rapti Nagar) by cutting a ribbon amid Vedic chanting.

Spanning two floors across 2,593 square meters at a cost of ₹3.10 crore, the facility is designed to host events for 300 to 500 guests. Equipped with modern halls, kitchens, storage rooms, dressing rooms, ample parking, and manicured lawns with an attractive fountain, the Kalyan Mandapam aims to provide low-income and needy families with premium marriage and cultural event venues at affordable rates.

Eradicating the Mafia and Resolving Encephalitis

Reflecting on the past decade of governance, CM Yogi emphasized that his administration did not merely dismantle organized crime and criminal syndicates; it also eradicated the deadly mosquito-borne encephalitis crisis that terrorized eastern Uttar Pradesh since 1977. Recalling his long struggle from parliament to the streets, the Chief Minister noted that innocent children are finally safe from the epidemic, while infrastructure milestones like the revival of the Gorakhpur fertilizer factory, AIIMS, BRD Medical College upgrades, Ramgarhtal's tourism revival, and four-lane road networks have completely reshaped the region.

Welfare Initiatives: Jobs, Scooties for Girls, and Mass Marriages

Emphasizing that a proactive government prioritizes youth, women, and the marginalized, the Chief Minister outlined major welfare achievements and upcoming targets:

• Employment Generation: The government has provided 950,000 government jobs to date, with an additional 100,000 appointment letters slated for distribution over the next year. Furthermore, Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel Employment and Skilling Zones are being established across every district.

• Empowering Young Women: Within the next two months, 50,000 final-year undergraduate female students will receive free scooties.

• Mass Marriages and Travel Concessions: Under the Chief Minister's Mass Marriage Scheme, 500,000 girls have been married with a ₹1 lakh state grant per couple. Additionally, women over 60 continue to enjoy free travel on state roadways buses, with over 6 million women utilizing the scheme during Rakshabandhan.

Concluding his address alongside leaders including MP Ravi Kishan Shukla, Mayor Dr. Manglesh Shrivastava, and state ministers, CM Yogi reiterated that societal detractors attempting to divide citizens along caste or regional lines belong to a "gang of dacoits" that will be kept firmly at bay by a vigilant public and decisive leadership.
