First Day of Shravan: CM Yogi Adityanath Offers Prayers at Kashi Vishwanath and Kaal Bhairav Temples in Varanasi

The auspicious commencement of the holy month of Shravan on Thursday morning, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath arrived in Varanasi to offer prayers and seek divine blessings for the state and the nation. Upholding deep-rooted spiritual traditions on the very first day of Sawan, the Chief Minister visited the revered Kashi Kotwal Baba Kaal Bhairav Temple and the majestic Shri Kashi Vishwanath Dham, performing elaborate rituals and praying for universal peace, prosperity, and public welfare.

Special Puja and Vedic Rituals in the Sanctum Sanctorum

Beginning his spiritual tour in Varanasi, CM Yogi Adityanath first reached the historic Baba Kaal Bhairav Temple, where he bowed his head at the feet of the city's kotwal and performed ritualistic worship and aarti following traditional Vedic procedures. Subsequently, the Chief Minister proceeded to Shri Kashi Vishwanath Dham, entering the sacred sanctum sanctorum to perform Shodashopachar puja for Baba Vishwanath. As news of his arrival spread within the temple premises, crowds of enthusiastic devotees and Kanwar pilgrims warmly greeted the Chief Minister with resounding chants of 'Har Har Mahadev', to which he graciously responded with folded hands.

Strict Administrative Directives for Devotees and Kanwariyas

Following his prayers, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath conducted a comprehensive review of the crowd management and civic arrangements put in place for devotees during the holy month of Shravan. Expressing general satisfaction with the ongoing preparations for Kanwar pilgrims, the Chief Minister issued strict directives to local administrative and police officials to prioritize the safety, convenience, and smooth darshan of every visitor. He emphasized that uninterrupted arrangements must be maintained throughout Sawan, instructing officials to continuously monitor security, cleanliness, and crowd flow to ensure that devotees face zero inconvenience during their pilgrimage. Local dignitaries, including MLAs Neelkanth Tiwari and Awadhesh Singh, accompanied the Chief Minister during his temple visit.
