CM Yogi Adityanath Performs Jalabhishek at Kashi Vishwanath and Kaal Bhairav Temples on First Day of Holy Month

The auspicious beginning of the holy month of Sawan on Thursday, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath offered traditional prayers and performed ceremonial Jalabhishek at the world-renowned Shri Kashi Vishwanath Temple in Varanasi. Arriving on the second day of his two-day official tour to the temple town, the Chief Minister partook in sacred Vedic rituals inside the sanctum sanctorum, praying for the peace, good health, and overall welfare of the citizens of Uttar Pradesh and the entire nation.

Strict Security and Heavy Devotee Influx on Day One of Sawan

As thousands of eager devotees and Kanwar pilgrims flocked to the Kashi Vishwanath Dham complex since early morning, forming long queues for the sacred Jalabhishek, elaborate administrative and security arrangements were enforced across the temple premises and surrounding zones. According to the scheduled itinerary, CM Yogi departed from the Varanasi Circuit House at 7:45 AM and arrived directly at the Shri Kashi Vishwanath Dham complex at 8:00 AM. Amidst the resonant chanting of Vedic mantras by temple priests, he completed his Darshan-Pujan before departing from the complex at 8:20 AM to proceed with other scheduled official engagements.

Prayers at Kaal Bhairav Temple and Warm Social Media Greetings

Continuing his spiritual observances for the day, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath also visited the revered Shri Kaal Bhairav Temple—traditionally known as the Kotwal of Kashi—to offer obeisance and seek blessings. Earlier in the day, taking to social media platform X, the Chief Minister extended his warm greetings to the people of the state on the commencement of the pious month of Shravan. Sharing his best wishes, he wrote, "May the Supreme God, Mahadev, fulfill all your wishes and may everyone's life be filled with virtue. Har Har Mahadev."
