CM Yogi Adityanath Slams Opposition, Unveils Lodheshwar Mahadeva Corridor in Barabanki
In a powerful political and cultural address delivered in the Ramnagar assembly constituency on Monday, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath launched a scathing attack on the Samajwadi Party and Congress while inaugurating development projects worth ₹542.41 crore. Placing the preservation of Sanatan Dharma and regional heritage at the core of his message, the Chief Minister asserted that the security of indigenous values is inextricably linked to collective safety. Addressing a massive gathering after laying the foundation stone for the grand Lodheshwar Mahadeva Corridor, he contrasted the current administration's focus on heritage revival and infrastructural growth with the alleged neglect and appeasement politics of previous regimes.
"Graveyards vs. Heritage": CM Yogi Contrasts Past Neglect with Current Development
Accusing opposition parties of treating Barabanki merely as a vote bank, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath declared that past governments fostered corruption and prioritized the development of cemeteries over the upkeep of sacred religious sites. Highlighting the cultural transformation under the current governance, he noted that corrupt leakages have been plugged to nurture Sanatan values and modern infrastructure simultaneously. By integrating Barabanki into the State Capital Region (SCR), the region now reaps dual developmental benefits originating from both Lucknow and Ayodhya, ensuring rapid socio-economic growth and seamless connectivity through upcoming four-lane highway expansions.
Honoring Legends: Saving KD Singh Babu's Legacy and Preserving Icons
Focussing sharply on cultural pride and historical memory during his 40-minute address, the Chief Minister emotionally recounted how legendary hockey icon K.D. Singh "Babu" faced utter neglect under previous administrations, with his family mansion nearly sold off before state intervention stepped in. He proudly highlighted that the present government intervened to purchase and preserve the ancestral property, ensuring the national hero's legacy remains alive. Paying glowing tributes to historical luminaries and freedom fighters—including Raja Balbhadra Singh Chahlari, Maharaja Suheldev, Maharana Pratap, Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, and Lakhan Pasi—he emphasized that the state is dedicated to honoring every patriot who defended national sovereignty and cultural identity.
Setting the 2027 Political Agenda with Grand Infrastructure Projects
Political analysts view the Barabanki address as a decisive launchpad for the upcoming electoral cycle, signaling a strong ideological and developmental roadmap. Revisiting the region's transformation since 2017—when infrastructural milestones like reliable power supply reshaped local priorities—the Chief Minister reaffirmed that the transformation of the Mahadeva Dham into a grand corridor modeled after Kashi Vishwanath is now well underway. Concluding with a firm commitment to public safety, law and order, and women's empowerment, he warned that divisive forces and those threatening social harmony will find no refuge in a progressive Uttar Pradesh.
