RSS chief Dr. Mohan Bhagwat held a meeting with the workers of Kutumb Prabodhan and environment conservation activities in Kanpur on Wednesday. During this, he emphasized on the importance of Indian culture, family intimacy and environment conservation. Addressing the workers of Kutumb Prabodhan activity, Bhagwat said, 'Our culture has been the center of guidance in the world. India has been the world guru and today again people in the world are getting attracted towards India's customs, policy, tradition, culture. Recently in Kumbh, we saw this scene that our culture is of sensitivity.'
'The tradition of family intimacy must continue'
The RSS supremo said that the work of Kutumb Prabodhan should be carried out on the basis of 6 points - Bhajan, food, building, language, attire and travel. He stressed that the tradition of family intimacy should continue. Bhagwat said, 'Family members should eat together once a day, mother tongue should be used within the family, our clothes should reflect our values, our building should be such that it appears to be an ideal Hindu house. We volunteers are moving forward in the society with these subjects, today the society needs information and awareness about these subjects. Family members should feel a sense of responsibility towards each other. Gradually this subject should grow in the society and the concept of an ideal family should be realised.'
'Plant trees, save water, remove polythene'
While talking to the workers of the environment conservation activity, Bhagwat inquired about the activities of the activity. He said that the slogan of the environment conservation activity is, 'Plant trees, save water, remove polythene.' The main activities of this activity are trees, water and polythene. He suggested that according to the design of the house, trees and plants should be planted in pots on the balcony or terrace, water conservation should be done through daily activities, use of harmful chemical materials should be reduced, biodiversity should be conserved and energy should be conserved in the house. Bhagwat told that there are 6 working departments of the environment conservation activity, educational institutions, religious institutions, women power, voluntary organizations, public dialogue and public relations.
'Patriotism should come into our daily lives'
Emphasizing the importance of patriotism, the RSS supremo said, 'Patriotism should come in our daily life. There should be a feeling in the society that this is my country. The electricity produced here is our country's electricity, the water here is our country's water. When there is a feeling of belongingness towards our country, there is a feeling of nation first, then we will think about even small things. Change is gradually coming in the society, but more is needed. Activists of environmental activities should become an inspiration for themselves as well as for the society. If the idea of nation first is established in the entire society, then all this will become natural, this is what we have to do.'
