
News Topical, Digital Desk : Russia's Foreign Minister has made a big statement regarding Russia, India, China relations. Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov has shown interest in reactivating the Russia-India-China (RIC) framework.
"I would like to express our interest in as early as possible resuming work in the format of Russia, India, China, which was established many years ago at the initiative of (former Russian Prime Minister) Yevgeny Primakov," Lavrov was quoted as saying by Russian state agency TASS.
More than 20 meetings were held
The group has held more than 20 ministerial meetings since then, not only at the level of foreign policy heads, but also at the level of heads of other economic, trade and financial agencies of the three countries, the Russian Foreign Minister further said.
Let us tell you that Lavrov said this during an international conference on security and cooperation in Eurasia (Europe and Asia) in the Russian city of Perm.
Statement was also given regarding NATO
Lavrov said, 'So far, as I understand, an understanding has been reached between India and China on how to ease the situation on the border. He said that therefore the time has come to reactivate RIC. He further blamed NATO. He said - NATO is openly trying to implicate India in anti-China conspiracies.
Lavrov said, 'I have no doubt that India also understands this and sees this conspiracy of NATO as a big provocation. I am saying this on the basis of confidential talks with them.'
