News Topical, Digital Desk : The court's decision on the charge sheet in the case related to Sonia Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi was to be given today (Saturday), which has been postponed. The Delhi court was to give its decision on the ED's charge sheet in the National Herald case, but now it will be given on December 16. In the last hearing, the Rouse Avenue Court had postponed the order on the ED's charge sheet because it felt it necessary to re-examine the case files. The ED has made former Congress President Sonia Gandhi, MP Rahul Gandhi, late leaders Motilal Vora and Oscar Fernandes, as well as Suman Dubey, Sam Pitroda and the company Young Indian, accused in this case.

What are the allegations against Sonia Gandhi and Rahul?

The ED alleges that these leaders, including Sonia Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi, conspired to seize assets belonging to Associated Journals Limited worth approximately ₹2,000 crore. The National Herald case was originally initiated by a complaint by former MP Subramanian Swamy, alleging misappropriation of funds by Congress leaders and companies associated with Associated Journals Limited. The court's upcoming decision on whether to take cognizance of the ED's charge sheet will determine the next stage in the long-running case.

This is how the alleged scam was carried out?

AJL publishes the newspaper "National Herald." The Enforcement Directorate alleges that the Gandhi family owned 76 percent of Young Indian's shares and fraudulently usurped AJL's assets in exchange for a loan of ₹90 crore. The charge sheet names Sonia Gandhi, Rahul Gandhi, Suman Dubey, Sunil Bhandari, Sam Pitroda, Young Indian, and Dotex Merchandise Private Limited.
