News Topical, Digital Desk : A sensational incident has come to light from Karnataka's capital Bengaluru. A couple first killed their two innocent children and then tried to commit suicide. During this, the husband died and the wife somehow survived. Now the wife has been taken into custody by the police.

This incident in Gonakanhalli village in Hoskote taluk of Bengaluru has shocked everyone. The couple, who were facing financial problems, thought it better to embrace death and took away the lives of both their children.

Why did you take such a big step?

According to the police, 32-year-old Shivu lived with his wife Manjula and two children. Shivu had an accident a few years ago, due to which he spent most of his time at home. The family was facing financial crisis. Shivu and Manjula often quarreled over money. Both of them thought of committing suicide several times, but then they stepped back fearing that their children would become orphans. Finally the couple decided to kill the children first and then take their own lives.

How did you kill the children?

On the afternoon of the incident, Shivu and Manjula first got drunk to kill the children. At around 4 pm, both of them together killed their 11-year-old daughter Chandrakala. The couple held their daughter's head and kept it in water until she stopped breathing. After this, they did the same with their 7-year-old son Uday Surya.

When Manjula decided to hang herself after killing the children, Shivu started vomiting. Shivu asked Manjula to get some food items from a nearby shop. When Manjula returned home from the shop, Shivu had already hanged himself and died.

Before dying, Manjula wanted to talk to her father on the phone. However, only Shivu's phone was at home, which was locked. So Manjula went to a neighbor's house and asked them to call her father. During this time, Manjula told the neighbors the whole truth, after which the police was informed and Manjula has been taken into custody by the police.
