News Topical, Digital Desk : The Baloch Liberation Army (BLA) has claimed that its "Operation Harof" against the Pakistani Army has not stopped yet. It is continuing for the sixth consecutive day.

Baloch insurgents have rejected the Pakistani army's statement in this regard, calling it propaganda. The BLA launched the second phase of "Operation Harof" last Saturday in Pakistan's Balochistan province, targeting Pakistani army and police forces.

The word "Herof" means "black storm" in the Balochi language. This claim was made in a statement issued on Thursday by BLA spokesman Jiyand Baloch. Jiyand said that "Operation Herof" is continuing with strength and success.

BLA did not announce closure.

Claims by the Pakistani government or the military's media wing, the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), that the operation has ended are false. The BLA has not announced its conclusion.

The ISPR on Thursday claimed the end of its Operation Radd-al-Fitna against insurgents in Balochistan, saying 216 insurgents, 36 civilians and 22 security personnel were killed.

While BLA spokesman Jiand claimed that Baloch insurgents had killed 310 Pakistani army soldiers in operations that have been ongoing for the past five days, BLA fighters maintain control of various locations in the province and have thwarted Pakistani forces' efforts on several fronts.

Baloch leader calls on the international community

Baloch leader Mir Yar Baloch has invited the international community and global media, including the UN Security Council, European Parliament members, human rights organisations and OIC member countries, to Balochistan to see the ground reality which Pakistan is hiding.

He cited human rights abuses against people in the region. Mir urged Norway not to host Pakistani leaders. Former caretaker Prime Minister of Pakistan Anwar ul Haq Kakar and Balochistan Chief Minister Sarfraz Bugti are scheduled to visit the country on February 15-17.
