News Topical, Digital Desk : Tata Motors, the country's largest commercial vehicle manufacturer, has received a major order from several State Transport Undertakings (STUs) across the country to supply over 5,000 buses and bus chassis. This order was placed by various state transport corporations through a competitive e-bidding process. The company states that Tata buses will be delivered phase-wise.
The company stated that these orders have been received from several state transport organizations such as MSRTC (Maharashtra), GSRTC (Gujarat), NWKRTC (Karnataka), TGSRTC (Telangana), BSRTC (Bihar), RSRTC (Rajasthan), KSRTC (Kerala), Haryana Roadways, and Chandigarh Transport Undertaking. This once again demonstrates Tata Motors' strong presence in the public transport sector in the country.

He added that the company's buses are designed to provide safety, comfort, and long-term reliability in diverse geographical conditions.
Which buses received orders?
According to the company, these orders include models such as the Tata Magna, Tata Cityride, Tata Starbus, Tata Starbus Prime, Tata LPO 1618, LPO 1622, and LPO 1822. These buses are configured for intercity, long-distance, and intra-city operations, ensuring superior performance, passenger comfort, and low operational costs.
Tata Motors' commercial passenger vehicle portfolio ranges from 9-seater to 55-seater vehicles, with various powertrain options, to meet public transportation needs across the country. The company's Sampoorna Seva 2.0 program provides services such as maintenance support, spare parts availability, and breakdown assistance.
The company has a network of over 4,500 sales and service touchpoints across the country, helping to promote safe and reliable public transportation in urban and rural areas.
