News Topical, Digital Desk : Voltas has informed as soon as the stock market closed on Monday that Life Insurance Corporation of India (LIC) has increased its stake in the company. In the information given to the exchange, the company said that Life Insurance Corporation of India (LIC) has increased its stake in air conditioning and cooling solutions company Voltas. According to the information given by the company, LIC has bought an additional 2.038 percent stake in Voltas, after which its total stake has now increased to 7.089 percent.

Voltas, a leading Tata Group company, operates in ACs, refrigeration products, air coolers, and cooling solutions. Its international business is strong in both the domestic market and the domestic market.

Voltas Ltd, a provider of air-conditioners and engineering services, reported weak results for the quarter ended September 2025. Net profit fell 74.4% to ₹34.3 crore, compared to ₹134 crore in the same period last year. Revenue fell 10.4% to ₹2,347 crore, compared to ₹2,619 crore a year ago. 

Share Performance: The company's shares closed at ₹1,361 on Monday, down 2.49%. Over the past year, the company's stock has declined 17.23%.
