
News Topical, Digital Desk : CM Rekha Gupta inaugurated the 29th edition of Delhi Book Fair at Bharat Mandapam in Delhi. During this, she said that nowadays most people's attention is on social media reels, yet there are people who like to read books.
On this occasion, CM Rekha Gupta emphasized that her government will continue to support literary events that benefit publishers and readers. CM Gupta told the people present that books are such friends who stay with you without any conditions.
'Some people love books even in the era of reels'
During the program, he said, even in today's era, where social media reels are dominant, there are still people who truly love books. The tradition of reading and writing in India is ancient. A good book draws us into its world.
He further said that we get lost in the characters and often learn from them. The CM further said that we will always support such book fairs which are helpful for the publishers and the people associated with the event.
The book fair will run till August 10
The Chief Minister also congratulated Delhi Culture Minister Kapil Mishra and his team for successfully organising the fair, which will continue till August 10. After the inauguration, CM Rekha Gupta and Kapil Mishra visited several stalls at the fair, interacted with publishers and inspected books and stationery.
The Delhi Book Fair has many exhibitors including leading publishing houses, educational institutions and cultural organizations. Thousands of book lovers from across Delhi are expected to attend the event.
