News Topical, Digital Desk : The Enforcement Directorate (ED) has again summoned Congress leader Priyanka Gandhi Vadra's husband Robert Vadra in the Sanjay Bhandari case. ED has sent summons to Vadra tomorrow for questioning about the case. Let us tell you that last Tuesday also ED had sent summons to Robert Vadra but then Vadra did not join the interrogation. Due to this, now ED has once again sent summons and has asked Vadra to appear on June 17 to record his statement.

ED will question Robert Vadra

Actually, this whole matter is related to Sanjay Bhandari case, who is an arms consultant and has lived in Britain. ED will question Robert Vadra in the money laundering case related to Sanjay Bhandari. This case is being investigated under PMLA. Earlier, Vadra was called for questioning on June 10. However, on June 9, Vadra said that he had flu-like symptoms and got a COVID test done as per the protocol.

What is Sanjay Bhandari case?

In fact, the ED has alleged that "Sanjay Bhandari bought a house at 12, Bryanston Square in London in the year 2009. The renovation of this house was done as per the instructions of Robert Vadra and he himself provided the funds for it." However, Robert Vadra has rejected these allegations and denied that he has any property in London directly or indirectly. He has termed the allegations as a 'political conspiracy'.

Where is Sanjay Bhandari now?

In 2016, Income Tax raided Delhi. During this time Sanjay Bhandari fled to London. According to PTI, a UK court recently rejected Bhandari's petition seeking permission to appeal in the country's Supreme Court against the acquittal of him in the extradition case by the Indian government. Due to this, the possibility of bringing Bhandari to India has almost ended.
