News Topical, Digital Desk : Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha and Congress leader Rahul Gandhi is going to start 'Voter Rights Yatra' in Bihar from August 17. The purpose of this yatra is to raise voice against alleged vote theft and ensure clean voter list. Rahul Gandhi has described it not only as an election issue but also a fight to protect democracy, constitution and the principle of 'one man, one vote'. We are telling you when this yatra of Rahul Gandhi will start, for how many days it will last and where it will end.

Full program of Voter Rights Yatra

This yatra will pass through various districts of Bihar and public meetings will be held at many places. Let us know about the detailed program of this yatra:

  • 17 August: The yatra will start from Bihar Industrial Area (BIDA Ground) between 12 pm and 2 pm. After this, the yatra will start from Ambedkar Chowk (Karakat, Rohtas) in Dehri at 4:30 pm. The day will conclude with a public meeting at Ramesh Chowk in Aurangabad. The night halt will be in Aurangabad.
  • 18 August: The journey will start from Kutumba in Aurangabad at 8 am and will reach Shivganj by 11 am. The journey will start again from Guraru at 4 pm and will end in Gaya. The night halt will be in Gaya.
  • 19 August: The yatra will start from Wazirganj area of Nawada and reach Nalanda in the evening. The night halt will be in Nalanda.
  • August 20: There will be a break in the journey on this day as it is the birth anniversary of Rajiv Gandhi.
  • August 21: The journey will commence from Sheikhpura in Nalanda and will reach Munger via Lakhisarai in the evening.
  • August 22: Starting from Munger, the yatra will reach Sultanganj and end in Bhagalpur in the evening.
  • August 23: The journey will commence in the morning from Katihar and end at Katihar on the same day.
  • August 24: Starting from Katihar, the yatra will reach Purnia and end at Narpatganj (Araria).
  • August 25: There will be a break in travel on this day.
  • August 26: Starting from Supaul, the journey will end in Madhubani.
  • August 27: Starting from Darbhanga, the yatra will reach Sitamarhi via Muzaffarpur and end there.
  • August 28: Starting from Sitamarhi, the journey will end in Motihari.
  • August 29: Starting from Bettiah (West Champaran) via Gopalganj, the journey will end in Siwan.
  • August 30: Starting from Chhapra, the yatra will end in Ara, where a big rally will be organised.
  • August 31: There will be a break in travel on this day.
  • September 1: The yatra will conclude with a big rally of the Mahagathbandhan at Gandhi Maidan in Patna.
