News Topical, Digital Desk : Q3 Results: Telecom equipment maker HFCL reported strong business performance in the third quarter (Q3) of the fiscal year. Net profit increased 35.6% year-on-year to ₹97.6 crore, compared to ₹73.6 crore in the same quarter last year.
The company's revenue also saw strong growth. During the quarter, revenue increased 19.6% to ₹1,210.8 crore, compared to ₹1,012 crore in the same period a year ago.
HFCL's EBITDA also increased 50% year-on-year to ₹228.5 crore, compared to ₹152.5 crore in the same quarter last year. The company's EBITDA margin also increased from 15% to 18.9%.
HFCL has received a major international order, along with its business results. The company reported receiving an order worth approximately ₹10,159 crore
from a global multinational company for the supply of optical fiber cables (OFCs). The company stated that this is a five-year supply agreement, starting in 2026 and extending until December 2030.
According to regulatory filings, HFCL will supply high-quality and high-fiber-count optical fiber cables to this customer through its overseas wholly-owned subsidiary. The potential total value of the entire contract is estimated at approximately $1.10 billion (approximately ₹10,159 crore). According to the company,
this order demonstrates HFCL's strong presence in the global market and its technical capabilities in the optical fiber segment. Experts believe that this large order, combined with strong quarterly results, could significantly contribute to the company's order book and future earnings.
