The deceased, believed to be around 20 years old, was recovered from a dirt road near Puwaron Puli village. Upon receiving information about the discovery, police and forensic teams arrived at the scene and began an investigation.

This incident occurred in the Lambra police station area of Jalandhar. Passersby spotted a woman's body lying on a dirt road near Puwaron Puli village, which leads to Nijran village. Locals immediately alerted the police control room. SHO of Lambra police station, Gurmeet Ram, arrived at the scene with a police team and forensic experts.
According to the police, the identity of the deceased has not been established yet. The woman was wearing a black and yellow top and lowers. She had several tattoos on her body that could be helpful in identification. One hand bears the name "Bhola," and the other bears the name "Sitarani" and "Vikram." She also has a tattoo of "Gill" near her neck. However, no identification card or documents were found in her pocket.

Initial police investigations suggest the case appears suspicious. Abrasion marks were found on both legs and other parts of the body. This raises suspicions that the body may have been dragged from another location. It is also possible that the woman was involved in some kind of altercation.
A syringe was also found near the woman's hand at the scene. Her shoes were also neatly placed aside. The discovery of the syringe has sparked speculation that the case may be drug-related. However, the police say it's too early to draw any conclusions. The investigation is being conducted with all aspects in mind.
Forensic team collected evidence
The forensic team arrived at the scene and collected vital evidence from the surrounding area. The ground, the body, and surrounding objects were thoroughly examined. The police sealed the scene to ensure no evidence was lost.
The police have taken the body into custody and sent it to the Civil Hospital, where a post-mortem examination will be conducted. The exact cause of the woman's death will be determined only after the post-mortem report is received. The police say that further action will be taken based on the report.
Police appeal for identification
DSP Narendra Singh Aujla said that the woman's photographs have been shared with nearby police stations and social media groups to identify her. Missing persons records are also being reviewed. Police are also examining footage from nearby CCTV cameras to determine how the woman arrived and who was with her.
