News Topical, Digital Desk : The Army, Air Force, and Navy are scheduled to conduct exercises in Rajasthan and Gujarat from October 30th to November 10th. Information regarding this has been released, and a NOTAM has been issued regarding this. It should be noted that military exercises have been ongoing for the past several months. Meanwhile, this exercise is scheduled to be conducted on the Gujarat and Rajasthan border. India launched Operation Sindoor against neighboring Pakistan in May of this year, and since then, India has been continuously preparing its military for war in any situation.
Rajnath Singh visited Thar Shakti
Earlier, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh on Friday observed the Indian Army's 'Thar Shakti' military exercise near the India-Pakistan border in Rajasthan. He praised the courage, valour and dedication of the soldiers. Rajnath Singh observed the exercise at Longewala on the second day of his Jaisalmer visit, where hundreds of soldiers demonstrated modern warfare capabilities and showed their might on the desert sands. This military exercise included 'robot dogs', drones, advanced vehicles like 'Ator N1200', state-of-the-art tanks and helicopters, which demonstrated a unique combination of future warfare skills and speed-strength.
What is NOTAM?
Actually, NOTAM stands for "Notice To Airmen." It is a notice that provides pilots, air traffic controllers, and other aviation personnel with important information related to air travel. The main purpose of NOTAM is to ensure safe and smooth air travel. It provides updates on temporary changes or hazards that may affect flight operations, such as closed runways, adverse weather conditions, or military exercises. The primary purpose of NOTAM is to ensure flight safety by informing all concerned parties in real time.
Army launched Operation Sindoor
It should be noted that the Indian Armed Forces launched "Operation Sindoor" following the terrorist attack in Pahalgam on April 22nd. As part of this operation, the army struck nine terrorist hideouts in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir on the night of May 6th and 7th. Tensions between India and Pakistan have persisted since then. Pakistan launched numerous drone and missile attacks, but India's air defense systems thwarted all of these attacks. Currently, a ceasefire has been established between India and Pakistan following a mutual agreement.
