Chennai: A case of smoke coming out of the wings of an aircraft before take-off has come to light at Chennai International Airport. This created panic among the passengers. The officials were informed about the matter immediately. Due to this, the flight could take off late. The incident happened on Tuesday night. 280 passengers were going to Dubai by the aircraft.

The technical team inspected the aircraft

Airport officials said that around 9:15 pm on Tuesday night, the crew of the plane reported smoke coming out. Smoke was coming out from near the wings. There were a total of 280 passengers in the plane. A technical team was immediately sent to the spot. The team conducted a thorough investigation of the plane.

Fire engines also reached the spot

According to the officials, the smoke stopped coming out after 10 minutes. Fire engines were also immediately sent to the spot. The smoke coming out shortly before the flight created panic among the passengers. The officials did not tell the reason for the smoke coming out.
