Bengaluru: Police in Karnataka have arrested a yoga teacher in a rape case. The incident is from Chikmagaluru district. The yoga teacher committed the crime with a non-resident Indian (NRI) woman. The accused has been identified as 54-year-old Pradeep Ullal.
The woman lodged a complaint with the police regarding the incident. After this, the accused teacher was caught. The accused runs the Chikmagaluru Kevala Foundation. The police have registered a case against the accused under section 376 (2) (N) of the Indian Penal Code.
The victim lives in California, USA
According to the Indian Express report, the woman is originally from Punjab. But she has been living in California, USA since 2000. In her complaint, the woman accused the yoga teacher of sexual abuse. She has come to Ullal in Karnataka three times. The woman used to take online yoga classes from the accused.
The accused used to talk about divine love
According to the woman's complaint, the accused yoga teacher used to tell her that they had a relationship in their previous life. He sexually exploited her by talking about spirituality, energy and divine love. During this time, the woman also became pregnant. However, she had a miscarriage.
