Bengaluru: A case of ragging has come to light in a private college in Bengaluru. Here the senior students asked a junior to shave off his beard and moustache. But the student did not do so. After this the senior students beat him up. Now on the complaint of the victim's father, the police have registered a case against the accused.
The student is from Kerala
According to a Times of India report, the victim, a 21-year-old student, has suffered a fracture in his hand and an injury on his forehead. He is a student of Krupanidhi Group of Institutions in Bellandur. He is originally from Kerala. The accused have been identified as Xavier, Vishnu and Sarath. All of them study in the same college.
The accused also searched the house
According to the report, the victim student said that in April the accused had asked him to shave off his beard and moustache. But when he did not agree, he was continuously targeted. The accused also came to his house and searched it.

The student said that a senior called him to meet near a church on Friday. There were 10 people present there. I went with my roommate. During this, a group of accused attacked me. They even forced me to shave clean. The college management has also assured strict action against the accused. According to the report, Bengaluru Police has registered a case under sections 118, 126, 189, 190, 191 and 351 of the Indian Penal Code (BNS).
