Indian Foreign Minister S Jaishankar attended a book launch in Delhi on Friday. Here he spoke openly on the relations between India and Pakistan and also gave a blunt answer to the neighboring country. Jaishankar said that the era of equal talks with Pakistan is over. All work has consequences. As far as Jammu and Kashmir is concerned, Article 370 has been abolished from Kashmir. So today the issue is what kind of relations we can consider with Pakistan.

Jaishankar clearly said, 'I want to say that we are not passive... whether events move in a positive direction or negative, we will react in any way.'  

Pakistan invites PM Modi to Islamabad for SCO meeting

Pakistan has officially invited Prime Minister Narendra Modi to the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO) meeting to be held in Islamabad in October, according to the Foreign Ministry office, amid strained ties between the two neighbouring countries.

S Jaishankar spoke openly on Afghan policy

Speaking on Afghanistan at the book launch event, External Affairs Minister Dr S Jaishankar said, "People-to-people ties are strong at the social level. Today, after reviewing our Afghan policy, we are very clear about our interests. We are not confused by the inherited intelligence that lies before us. We must understand that Afghanistan with US presence is very different from Afghanistan without US presence."

The ups and downs in our approach to the Maldives

Speaking about Maldives and Bangladesh, the External Affairs Minister said that there have been ups and downs in our approach towards Maldives. There is a certain lack of stability here. This is a relationship in which we are very deeply invested. There is a recognition in the Maldives that this relationship is a stabilising force.
