News Topical, Digital Desk : The world's most popular leader, PM Modi, has now been praised by Frank Heemskerk, Executive Vice President of Global Public Relations for Dutch semiconductor giant ASML.
He added that the ASML CEO recently met with PM Modi. He even said that access to top EU leaders is not easy, while that is not the case with the Indian PM.
ASML CEO met PM Modi
In fact, recently, the CEO of Dutch semiconductor giant ASML met with PM Modi for nearly two hours. He said that Prime Minister Modi not only listened to him but also requested a response from the company.
ASML officials admire PM Modi
The ASML official also said that Prime Minister Modi told him (the company's CEO) that you are very friendly, tell me what we can do better.
During the conversation, Frank Heemskerk was asked if it was easy to meet with all politicians, and he jokingly remarked that it wasn't always easy. Generally, it's easier to meet a senior White House official than a commissioner.
We should learn from PM Modi.
He said European policymakers should take inspiration from Prime Minister Modi's approach. Political leaders should sit down with companies that are investing.
During the same conversation, commenting on ASML's recent 1.3 billion euro deal with French AI firm Mistral, he said that it is easy because it is a European company and we understand each other better.
India is also focusing on making semiconductor chips
It is noteworthy that the Dutch industrialist's praise for PM Modi comes at a time when India is on the verge of a semiconductor revolution and is making bold progress in the development of semiconductor chips.
India made the first indigenous chip
In August, PM Modi was presented with the first Indian-made chip, called Vikram. It was developed by ISRO's Semiconductor Laboratory. Addressing the nation from the ramparts of the Red Fort on Independence Day this year, PM Modi announced that the "Made in India" chip would be available in the market by the end of the year.
It should be noted that in 2021, the central government launched the India Semiconductor Mission with an outlay of ₹76,000 crore. This program aims to promote semiconductor manufacturing and display manufacturing.
