Therefore, observe this fast until you bathe in the Ganges. Clean your home. If you live near the Ganges River, bathe in the Ganges. You can also bathe at home with water mixed with the Ganges. After bathing in the Ganges, be sure to flow black sesame seeds into the flowing stream.

Now, after sipping water, wear yellow clothes. First, offer prayers to Lord Bhaskar and perform an anointment to Lord Shiva. Then, facing south, offer prayers to your ancestors. If you wish, you can also anoint a Peepal tree with Ganga water.

This satisfies the gods and ancestors. Afterward, perform Panchopachar and worship Lord Shiva and Vishnu. During this time, recite the Shiva and Vishnu Chalisas and chant mantras. At the end of the puja, perform aarti and pray for happiness and prosperity. After the puja, break your silent fast by donating according to your financial situation.
