Many such incidents have been described in this text, which teach a person a special lesson. Let us know about this.
Ganga's condition
Before marriage, Ganga had put a condition in front of King Shantanu that he would never question her on any of her actions. Due to this condition, Ganga drowned her seven newborn sons one by one in the river and the king could not say anything to her.
But when Ganga was going to drown her eighth son in the river, the king could not resist and he stopped Ganga. This son was named Devavrata, who later became famous as Bhishma Pitamah.
That's why Devavrata was called Bhishma
King Shantanu wanted to marry Nishadraj's daughter Satyavati. But Nishadraj had put a condition in front of Shantanu that he would make the child born from his daughter the next heir to the kingdom. Then Devvrat took a vow not to marry throughout his life, so that his father could marry Satyavati.
It was because of this Bhishma Pratigya that he was named Bhishma. In such a situation, it can be said that if Devavrata had not taken this pledge, then the story of Mahabharata could have been different.
this became the cause of the war
This game of Chausar was played between the Pandavas and the Kauravas, which is also seen as the foundation of the Mahabharata war. Yudhishthira put all his wealth on this game. After this, he put all his brothers, even Draupadi, at stake one by one. The Kauravas crossed all limits and tried to disrobe Draupadi in the presence of everyone. This incident played an important role in laying the foundation of the war.
