New Delhi. Punjabi Traditional Sweets:  Different types of dishes made in different seasons have their own pleasure, because they are prepared from seasonal ingredients. Their consumption is also good for health. In such a situation, as soon as the monsoon season arrives, everyone starts remembering tea and pakoras amidst the drizzle. But in this monsoon, some traditional sweets also attract people. Punjabi traditional sweets have their own unique taste. So let's know about the recipe of Sawan special traditional Punjabi sweets.

Matka Kulfi

Heat the milk in a heavy bottom vessel. When the milk thickens, add milk powder mixed with some cold milk and mix well. Now add sugar and chopped dry fruits and mix. When it cools down, fill it in a pot and pack it with foil and keep it in the freezer till it freezes. After 6 hours, your Punjabi Matka Kulfi will be ready.

Doda Barfi

To make Doda Barfi, heat ghee in a pan and add daliya and fry till it becomes brown and keep it aside. Now heat milk in a vessel and when it boils, add cream and cook till the milk thickens well. Add daliya and sugar to the prepared milk and cook for ten minutes and add cashew nuts, almonds and cocoa powder and mix well and spread it on a ghee coated plate and stick almond pieces on top. When it cools down, cut it in the shape of barfi and serve.

Put ghee in a pan and add the gond and fry it and take it out. When it cools down, grind it in a mixer. Now fry the chopped cashews, almonds, raisins, coconut in the remaining ghee in the same pan one by one and take it out. Now add some more ghee and fry till the dough turns brown. Mix the entire mixture in a large vessel and add tagar or jaggery to it and prepare laddus from it while it is still warm.

Rabri

To make rabri, first heat the milk on high flame till it boils, and after that reduce the flame and leave the milk to cook. When one-third of the milk is left and cream lumps start forming in it, add sugar to it and cook while stirring well for two minutes. Now add cardamom powder and chopped pistachio pieces to it and keep it in the fridge to cool for a while.
