Material

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup gram flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon fennel seeds
  • 1/2 teaspoon cumin seeds a pinch of turmeric
  • 1/4 teaspoon red chilli powder
  • 1 tsp coriander powder
  • 1 tsp pickle spice
  • Salt to taste
  • 1 tablespoon ghee oil for frying

 

Method of preparation-

 

  • First of all, take flour in a bowl. Now add carom seeds, salt, nigella seeds and ghee to it and knead soft dough and keep it aside.
  • To make the stuffing, heat one spoon of oil in a pan. Then add asafoetida, cumin seeds and fennel seeds to it. After this, add chopped onion and green chillies and fry for a few seconds.
  • Now add one cup gram flour and fry it for 2 minutes. Then add chopped red chilli, coriander powder and pickle masala and mix well and cook.
  • After cooking for 2 minutes, turn off the gas. Add green coriander and mix.
  • After this, keep the oil on the gas to heat it.
  • Make dough balls and roll them a little. Make a ball of prepared gram flour stuffing and place it in the middle. Then close it properly from all sides, so that the stuffing does not come out.
  • After this, roll it in the shape of a puri. After the oil is heated well, keep it on low-medium flame.
  • Deep fry the kachori in hot oil until it becomes golden crispy.
  • Serve the prepared Kachori hot with potato curry or chutney.
