This year, this auspicious date falls on Thursday, January 29th. According to religious beliefs, observing the fast of Jaya Ekadashi liberates a person from the ghost world and attains salvation. This time, this Ekadashi falls on Thursday, so its significance has increased manifold. It is said in the scriptures that the worship of Lord Vishnu is not successful unless Goddess Lakshmi is worshipped along with him.

O giver of knowledge, wisdom and happiness. Remove my troubles, mother.
When Vishnu churned the ocean of milk. Fourteen gems were found in the ocean.
Among the fourteen gems, you are Sukhrasi. You served the Lord as a maid.
Whenever the Lord took birth, You served by changing your form.
When Vishnu himself took human form and took incarnation in Awadhpuri.
Then you appeared in Janakpur. You served with great joy in the heart. You
are accepted by the omniscient. You are known to the world as the lord of the three worlds.
There is no power as powerful as you. How can I describe your glory?
You serve with mind, action and words. You get the desired results.
Leaving aside deceit, fraud and cleverness, you worship in various ways.
I will tell you more about this. Whoever recites this with full concentration,
he will not face any trouble. He will get the desired results.
Help me, help me, she who removes sorrows and removes the three types of sufferings and bondages of life.
Whoever reads and teaches Chalisa, listens and narrates it with concentration.
No disease troubles him. He gets wealth and prosperity like sons.
Sonless and without wealth. Blind, deaf and leper, very poor.
Call a Brahmin to recite it. Never bring doubt in the heart.
Get the Chalisa recited daily. Goddess Gauri blesses him.
He gets a lot of happiness and wealth. There is no shortage of anything.
The one who worships for twelve months, there is no one as blessed as him.
He recites it daily in his mind. There is no one like him in the world.
What should I praise in many ways. He tests me and concentrates on me.
Having faith, he observes the fast. It becomes successful and love grows in his heart.
Jai Jai Jai Lakshmi Bhavani. You are present in everyone and have virtues.
Your radiance is strong in the world. There is no one as kind as you.
Now take care of me, the orphan. Remove my troubles and give me devotion.
Forgive my mistakes. Show me your sight and observe my condition.
The officer is restless without your darshan. I have to bear a lot of pain.
I do not have knowledge or wisdom in my body. You know everything in your mind.
Taking the form of four arms, please alleviate my suffering.
