HDFC Bank Rule Changes : The month of August is about to begin. Many rules related to finance are going to change from the first day of this month i.e. August 1. One of these changes may affect HDFC Bank's credit card holders. The bank's credit card holders will now be charged 1% of the amount on all rental transactions done through third-party payment apps, with a maximum limit of Rs 3,000 per transaction. Let us tell you that rental transactions can be done using third-party payment apps like Paytm, CRED, and MobiKwik.

Charges on utility transactions

Talking about utility transactions, there will be no additional charges for transactions less than ₹50000. However, 1 percent will be charged for transactions above ₹50000. There is a limit of ₹3000 per transaction. However, insurance transactions are exempted from these charges.

Fuel Transactions

Talking about fuel transactions, a 1 percent fee will be charged for transactions above ₹15,000. There will be no additional fee for transactions less than this. The maximum limit for such transactions is ₹3,000 per transaction.

Charges on education transactions

A 1% fee will be charged for transactions made through third-party apps like CRED, PayTM, etc. There is a limit of ₹3,000 per transaction. However, international education payments are excluded from this fee. At the same time, customers who redeem rewards on statement credit or cashback will be charged ₹50.

Similarly, customers using revolving credit facilities will be charged 3.75 percent per month. This will be applicable from the date of the transaction until the outstanding amount is paid in full.

EMI Processing Fee

To avail of the Easy-EMI option at any online or offline store, an EMI processing fee of up to ₹ 299 will have to be paid. Apart from this, HDFC Bank has changed the rules for Tata New Infinity and Tata New Plus credit cards.
