Gurugram: Protests have started against the preparations to collect toll tax on Dwarka Expressway before the completion of the project. People of societies developed around the expressway have decided to write letters to Union Road Transport and Highways Minister Nitin Gadkari and Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

People believe that collecting toll tax before the project is complete is unjust. Not only this, first the Kherki Daula toll plaza should be removed, then the toll plaza should be started on the Dwarka Expressway (only after the project is complete). If this is not done, there will be a protest.

Protest begins against the preparations for toll collection on Dwarka Expressway.

The work of constructing toll plaza is going on at a fast pace

The construction of toll plaza on the Gurugram-Delhi border is progressing at a rapid pace to collect toll on the expressway. It is being discussed that as soon as the construction of the toll plaza is completed, toll tax will be collected for the distance for which the project has been completed. The toll plaza will be completely ready in two months.

People of 5 states will benefit... 1 hour journey will be completed in 20 minutes, PM gave the gift of a unique expressway

About 100 societies have developed

Nearly 100 societies have been developed around the expressway so far. There are many villages and colonies around the expressway. Lakhs of people live in them. People say that for the last several years it has been said that the Kherki Daula toll plaza will be removed as soon as the Dwarka Expressway project is completed, but there is no such possibility.

If there was a plan to remove it, the construction of toll plaza would have started in Pachgaon by now. The state government has agreed to give land for building a toll plaza on the Delhi-Jaipur highway near Pachgaon. There is a possibility of a double whammy on those people.

Kherki Daula toll plaza should be removed before toll collection on Dwarka Expressway. If this is not done then it is a fraud with lakhs of people. A responsible senior officer related to the matter in the National Highway Authority of India refused to say anything about this.

The project was to be completed last year

Dwarka Expressway is being constructed at a cost of approximately Rs 9,000 crore. A company called L&T has almost completed the work of the Gurugram portion. The responsibility of the Delhi portion lies with Jai Kumar Infra Project Limited.

Four kilometer section is being built underground

The project was to be completed last year, but now it is expected to be completed this year. 18.9 km of the expressway is in Gurugram, the remaining 10.1 km is in Delhi. Out of this, 23 km is being built elevated and about four km is being built underground.

The first part in Delhi is about 4.20 km from Gurugram-Delhi border to Bijwasan. The second part is 5.90 km from Bijwasan to Shivmurti. The first part in Gurugram area is about 8.76 km from near Kherki Daula toll plaza to near Basai-Dhankot.

The second part is about 10.2 km from near Basai-Dhankot to the Gurugram-Delhi border. People will be able to reach Delhi airport directly from Dwarka Expressway.
