Aruna Irani recently spoke to Lahare Retro and said that when she fell ill on the sets of the shoot, she thought she was sick. Recalling that time, the actress said, "One day I was shooting, I don't know how I found out, but I said I was feeling something. When I consulted the doctor, he said it was a small lump".
However, the doctor kept telling the actress to get the lump removed and advised her to undergo chemo immediately, but the actress refused to do so. Aruna Irani told that she was afraid that this might affect her acting career. The actress said, "The doctor told me that if you don't undergo chemo, you will have to take medicines. I did the same because I was afraid that if I lost my hair, how would I shoot".
The doctor said both kidneys had failed
Aruna Irani told that during Covid in the year 2020, she was again detected with breast cancer, after which the actress took full advice from the doctor and underwent chemotherapy. Let us tell you that Aruna Irani not only had to struggle with cancer, but the doctor even told the actress that both her kidneys had failed, apart from this, she also got diabetes at the age of 60.
