According to the data of National Securities Depository (NSDL), FIIs bought heavily in sectors like auto, telecom, and IT. After selling Rs 296 crore in the auto sector in the first week of June, FII invested Rs 5,020 crore between June 16 and 30. In the telecom sector too, after selling Rs 887 crore in the first week, an investment of Rs 3,620 crore was made in the second week.

Increased interest in IT and Consumer Services - FIIs also showed interest in the IT sector and Consumer Services sector. After a withdrawal of Rs 1,700 crore from IT and Rs 1,460 crore from Consumer Services in the first week of June, an investment of more than Rs 2,800 crore was made in both in the second week.
Investment in Oil and Gas, Financial Services and Chemicals - FIIs invested Rs 4,938 crore in the Oil and Gas sector in the second week after an investment of Rs 1,199 crore in the first week. After Rs 4,685 crore in the first week, an investment of Rs 4,261 crore was made in Financial Services in the second week. After an investment of Rs 1,405 crore in the first week, an investment of Rs 987 crore was recorded in the Chemicals sector in the second week.
